General description:
SA 498 is a high-performance synthetic PAO lubricant designed for vacuum pumps and compressors operating in food environments.
It is NSF H1 registered, suitable where incidental contact with food may occur.
Thanks to high oxidation stability and low volatility, it reduces residue build-up and extends oil-change intervals.
It offers excellent antiwear, antirust, antifoam and corrosion protection, maintaining consistent performance even at elevated temperatures and under severe operating conditions.
Compatible with mineral oils and similar formulations, it is an ideal solution where long-term reliability, food safety and low maintenance costs are required.
SA 498 is recommended for:
Vacuum pumps in food production environments
Food treatment, packaging and wrapping systems
Compressors requiring ISO 100 lubricants
Also indicated for severe thermal conditions.
Compatible with mineral oils; for first fill after mineral oils, perform a flushing or an early oil change.
