SP 812 — Low-viscosity anaerobic sealant

Penetrates deeply and seals microporosities on metals. Resists vibration, chemicals and pressures up to 10 bar.

General description:

SP 812 is a low-viscosity anaerobic sealant designed to penetrate capillarily into microporosities of metal-to-metal couplings, such as welded joints or threads with narrow tolerances.

Its infiltration capability makes it ideal for sealing studs, safety valves and threaded fittings, even in the presence of thermal or mechanical stress.

The product offers resistance to vibration, gas, oils, brake fluids, refrigerants, water/glycol and fuels, ensuring tightness even under critical operating conditions. It is not suitable for use on joints in contact with pure oxygen or steam.

Approved for railway applications such as “dead-man” devices, it is a reliable solution wherever precise, long-lasting sealing is required.

SP 812 is recommended for:

  • Sealing microporosities on steel/steel

  • Studs of oil-immersed disconnectors on metal structures

  • Cast-iron safety valves (up to 10 bar)

  • Pneumatic devices in railway vehicles

  • Metal threads with small clearance (up to M5)

It is suitable for use with water, compressed air, LPG, methane, oils and chemical liquids. Do not use on plastics or painted surfaces without prior evaluation.
