SP 831 — Instant adhesive for difficult-to-bond materials
Fast setting even at low humidity on porous and acidic surfaces
General description:
SP 831 is an instant adhesive based on modified ethyl cyanoacrylate, developed for bonding difficult-to-bond materials and materials sensitive to acidic surfaces.
Its formulation is designed to provide very rapid curing even under low-humidity conditions, a concrete advantage when operational continuity is required without slowing down the process.
It stands out for its high adhesion on difficult and porous substrates such as leather, wood, paper, cardboard, expanded rubber and EPDM, making it an effective solution for applications where rapid fixture and joint reliability must go hand in hand.
After curing, the product develops good mechanical strength and maintains excellent resistance to engine oil, alcohol, gasoline and refrigerant gases.
SP 831 is recommended for rapid bonding on porous materials, difficult surfaces and substrates sensitive to acidic surfaces.
It is used on wood, PVC, phenolic resins, ABS, steel, aluminum, zinc, neoprene or nitrile rubber, fabrics, leather and cardboard.
In the presence of polyethylene, polypropylene, silicone rubbers or PTFE, the use of SP 800 activator is required.

Carefully clean and degrease the surfaces with the recommended cleaner before application.
Apply the adhesive to the parts to be bonded, bearing in mind that the speed and degree of curing depend on the type of material, the substrate, the temperature and the ambient humidity.
If curing is slow due to low temperature or low humidity, the use of the activator is recommended. At the end of the bonding operation, any excess product, even if cured, can be removed with the appropriate remover.
