General description:
SW 356 is a PAO-based synthetic lubricant developed to deliver high performance and long service life in screw compressors used in train air-generation and air-treatment systems.
Born from in-depth chemo-tribological research and bench tests—conducted on compressors such as the X-TER—for thousands of uninterrupted hours, it has shown excellent behaviour even under extreme conditions.
Thanks to its advanced formulation, SW 356 ensures seal protection, preservation of metals, absence of residues and minimal contamination levels.
It is recommended for all compressors subject to thermal excursions and high operating stress.
Approved by Faiveley Transport and compliant with Trenitalia specifications (002 110 / 580 732 / 002 265), it is the ideal lubricant for railway operators seeking long-term reliability.
