SW 396 — Instant universal adhesive, medium viscosity

Cyanoacrylate adhesive suitable for different materials, with speed and strength in every industrial application.

General description:

SW 396 is an ethyl-based, medium-viscosity cyanoacrylate adhesive designed to deliver fast, strong and durable bonds on a wide variety of surfaces: rubber, plastic, metal, leather, wood and ceramic

It stands out for its high versatility and its ability to perform effectively even on difficult materials, making it an ideal choice for quick, reliable work in industrial and railway contexts.

The product is part of the SW line, developed by BB Technical Service in collaboration with Faiveley for high-reliability railway and technical applications.

SW 396 is recomended for:

  • Railway applications in maintenance and construction

  • Rapid assemblies on industrial production lines

  • Technical repairs on synthetic, metallic and composite materials

  • Fixing components made of rubber, plastic or metal

  • Bonding on porous and non-porous substrates

Fixture times (seconds):

  • Steel: 5–20

  • Aluminum: 2–10

  • Zinc: 10–20

  • PVC, ABS, Phenolics: 2–10

  • Neoprene, Nitrile: <5

  • Various woods: 2–180

Thoroughly clean and degrease the bonding surfaces with a suitable product, such as SW 305.

Apply a small amount of SW 396 to one of the two surfaces and join the parts with light pressure. The fixture time depends on the material and ambient conditions.

To speed up polymerization in unfavorable conditions, an activator may be used. On materials such as PTFE, silicone or polyethylene, a specific primer is required.
