SW 828 — High-temperature thread sealant
Locks and seals under extreme thermal conditions. Mechanical sealing up to 230°C.
General description:
SW 828 is a high-temperature anaerobic sealant designed to lock and seal threaded joints, even where higher tolerances are present.
It is particularly suitable for applications reaching operating temperatures up to 230°C, such as compressors, thermal plants, and high-pressure systems.
Thanks to its thixotropic formulation and high viscosity, it can be applied to joints with wider clearances, ensuring resistance to vibration, corrosion, hydrocarbons, oils, and aggressive chemical substances.
SW 828 is recommended for:
Locking and sealing fittings in high-temperature environments
Threads up to M56 or 2"
Systems exposed to thermal and vibrational stress
Use on metals subject to thermal expansion
Do not apply on plastics or painted surfaces without preliminary testing. In case of contact with thermoplastics, stress cracking may occur.

Thoroughly clean the surfaces with a technical degreaser. Apply SW 828 evenly and assemble.
Handling time varies between 20 and 40 minutes; functional cure occurs in 3–6 hours.
For disassembly, heat the joint to 150–250°C.
Remove any polymerised residues mechanically and complete cleaning with acetone.
