TS 816 — Anaerobic gasket for rigid flanges

High-viscosity red sealant for flanged joints exposed to heat, vibration, and aggressive substances.

General description:

TS 816 is a thixotropic anaerobic gasket for metals, engineered to seal rigid flanged surfaces with large tolerances.

Once cured, it forms a seal resistant to temperatures up to 200°C, vibration, thermal shock, gas, oils, fuels, water/glycol, and air compressors.

It is particularly effective on gearboxes, transmissions, differentials, pumps, and engines, even under severe operating conditions.

Sealed parts remain removable using standard tools or localised heating.

TS 816 is recommended for:

  • Rigid metal flanged joints

  • Gearboxes, engines, differentials, and transmissions

  • Seals resistant to gas, oils, fuels, and water/glycol

  • Situations involving vibration and thermal shock

Do not use on plastics or elastomers without prior verification: the product may cause stress cracking.

Clean and degrease the surfaces thoroughly. Apply TS 816 in an amount sufficient to completely fill the joint. Assemble and allow to cure.

Handling time is 15–30 minutes, with functional cure in 3–6 hours.

Disassembly is facilitated by heating the joint to 150–250°C.
Remove cured residues mechanically and finish with acetone.
